Louise Jourdan-Gassin, founder of Série Limitée Louise, grew up surrounded by art and decorative objects, with a family-owned concept store in Nice. Studying art and then beginning her professional career working in design seemed like the natural path for her to follow. The idea of creating elegant vintage prints on linen was originally for the family store, but was so successful, that she soon found herself working full time on the concept, and Série Limitée Louise was born.
The stories behind these linens begin in Paris flea markets or bouquiniste stalls of prints and curiosities along the Seine. Louise takes her time hunting for the perfect image, stumbling by chance on anonymous photographs that whisper stories from the past or depict typical French scenes. For Louise, the quality of the materials is of paramount importance: the linen must be extremely soft and fine, the inks used must be non-toxic and eco-friendly. The collection is entirely printed in Paris, France on natural and sustainable materials.
