In 2018, Manufacture Normand was awarded the honor of inscribing their savoir-faire into history. They recreated the Queen’s Pot as part of a greater restoration of the Queen’s Hamlet in the Versailles Castle Gardens. Designed by Richard Mique, the architect who designed the Hamlet, the pots bear Marie-Antoinette’s monogram in a medallion framed by ribbons and roses. Originally, 1232 pots decorated the long, wooden, exterior galleries and staircases of the Queen’s House in the Hamlet. Of those, 656 were sold during the Revolution, and all but a single pot were lost. Using that unique vessel, Manufacture Normand has patiently and meticulously recreated a new series that is in every way exceptional.
