Product details
Clodine works with chamotte (grog) which is composed of soft clay mixed with little grains of hard, fired clay. She plays with those grains to create texture that resonates on the surface of her piece. She especially likes the way the texture plays with the light. She fires her white figurines at a low temperature (1795°F / 980°C) to keep the white clay from turning beige. She waxes her white pieces with clear beeswax.
